40-year-old Granville Ritchie has been sentenced to death for raping and killing Felicia Williams.
The incident happened in 2014 when the girl was only 9 years old.
After he committed the gruesome act, he dumped the child’s body off the causeway in Tampa.
His lawyer tried to make the incredible argument that because Granville Ritchie grew up poor in Jamaica, he had “brain abnormalities”.
Jesus Wept.
So now apparently being poor affects your brain to the point where you want to rape and kill 9-year-olds.
In other words, poverty = savage.
That lawyer should have got a slap in that courtroom for that ridiculous defence of his client.
Must have been one of those free government lawyers who couldn’t get a job in a law firm kmt.
I grew up hearing a nuh crime but to thief is a disgrace. Ppl can bounce out of poverty if them have ambition n perseverance. The lawyer sold him out . They both should have cells next to each other. What he did was a perverted demented gruesome calculated act. He could have bought prostitute his age . He should have been castrated as part of sentencing.
