Four women were slain in Spanish Town in two separate attacks.
The fact that they occurred in a short 8-day span has caused residents to become worried that this might be some sort of new trend.
Spanish Town gangs are known for targeting the family members of their enemies to settle a score. If they cannot get to the person they want then his girlfriend or mother might end up paying the price.
There haven’t been any confirmed reports by the Police as to the motive of the killings but the streets are talking.
Terrified residents are now demanding increased police patrols as they think there will be further attacks as well as reprisals for the women that have been killed.
